The Olive Leaf Trust wishes to update The Parish on the building consent application, as follows. The QLDC appointed Commissioners failed to consent, and The Trust lodged an appeal to the Environment Court. This prompted QLDC to offer a pathway to mediation which, The Trust is pleased to accept and is now in the process of instructing a senior QC counsel who needs at least two months to prepare for the now delayed Court directed mediation. Additional evidence has been identified and in fairness to all parties, mediation should wait until that evidence is available.
