Next Sunday is our annual Caring Foundation appeal. This important Foundation assists the diocese in providing support for Catholic Social Services, our Pastoral team and youth work. It is also a fund that we can draw on in urgent cases, such as during the lockdown when we were able to provide grants for families whose livelihoods were lost as a result of Covid-19. Accompanying next weekend’s diocesan newsletter will be a fuller description of the Caring Foundation and its work. There are special envelopes available at Mass this weekend. These can be placed in the collection basket on Sunday the 9th of August or posted.
