On Good Friday each year we have the annual collection for the Holy Places. Last year due to COVID this collection was greatly reduced over the world. The Holy Land has been
badly hit by COVID due to the lack of tourism with the people suffering especially in
places such as Bethlehem. This collection goes to the support of the holy places in the
Holy Land also to the social and pastoral work for the local communities that still live
there such as scholarships for young people, employment schemes and medical care for the poor.
